Pictures Of Ferrari

It's sometimes hardto build a really nice model car that doesn't come with all the partsyou need to finish it well. This problem happens most of thetime with old kits.

Don't get me wrong, but the old kits are really only good for oldtimes. They were good back then but to be impressive now youneed to have much more detail. Old kits have never stopped me frombuilding them however. I still can build them into very nice modelcars. Sometimes contest winning cars.

I am going to show you how I do this with my Tamiya Ferrari 312T4 largescale in 1:12 which you can find on my blog.It is a very nice kit but it is missing many parts that are not on thereal car.

I did research to find the parts with an old magazine I was very luckyto find on e-bay. I also searched on the internet too. I lovethe internet for searching because I can find everything I need to helpme properly make parts for my cars. Use Google and othersearch engines and you can come up with all sorts of good pictures andinformation to help with your understanding of how the car goestogether and what is missing from the kit.

The Ferrari 312T4 kit is missing the hydraulic hardness control whichis on the stabilizer bar. The hardness control works inconnection with the rear suspension's hydraulic control. Thispart would be the hydraulics' control support the opening for theactuator arm.

I made small brackets for the brake hydraulic line and the controlcable of the stabilizer bar. I also made the hydraulichardness control that connects with the stabilizer bar and connects tothe rear suspension's hydraulic control.

I made the parts from 2 mm. and 3 mm. diameter aluminum tube. I cut the2 mm. aluminum tube into 2.5 cm long pieces. I cut 3 mm. aluminum tube1 cm long.

Slide the larger tube over the smaller tube. Then drill though them anduse an insect pin connect them to the stabilizer bar.

I used sheet Styrene to make an arm to connect to the stabilizerbar.

I used a 2.0mm. in diameter styrene rod, cut up and drilled for thehydraulic lines to be connected.

When it was done the overall look was very realistic. To getthe best idea of how this looks you can see the pictures on thewebsite.
